Brightening a room

A business contact told me of a great line that a networking workshop leader opened with yesterday, which was,

"Do you brighten a room when you enter it or when you leave it?"

I love this line as it illustrates the impact we have on others at all times, whether it's on entering a room, picking up the phone or writing an email.

Do you infect others with positive energy or negative energy?

Do you bring out the best in others or do you conjure up their darker, or shadow, side?

Do you help people see their greatness or their ineptitude?

If you are inspired by a compelling vision of the future, chances are you will radiate positivity and possibility.
